1. Project Kick - off and Requirement Digging

When we got the task of designing the packaging for Pokana’s 4D KF94 masks, we first had in - depth talks with the client. They made it clear that they wanted to highlight the product’s “4D KF94” technical strengths and “4 - ply medical” protection. And at the same time, they were going for a minimalist and high - end look. The key goals were: putting the “Pokana” brand in a prominent place, clearly showing the mask specs (like “2 PCS” quantity), and making the packaging stand out on shelves while matching the product’s medical - grade quality.

2. Market and Competitor Study

Next, we dived into market research. We looked at the packaging trends of medical masks, especially the KF94 segment. We found that consumers in this area value clarity in product info and a sense of reliability. Then, we checked out competitors’ packages. Most of them either over - complicated the design or missed out on showing the product’s high - end tech. So, we saw an opportunity: make a clean, sleek design that shouts “professional protection” and highlights Pokana’s uniqueness.

3. Concept Development

3.1 Visual Direction

Our design team brainstormed ideas centered around “minimalist sophistication”. We thought a metallic - silver color would be perfect. 3.2 Structural Choice

5. Feedback and Tweaks

We showed the first design to the client. They loved the sleek look but wanted the brand name to be even more prominent. So, we adjusted the font size and spacing of “POKANA”, making it the clear star of the package. We also tweaked the color contrast to make sure all text was sharp and easy to read, even from a distance.

6. Finalization and Production Prep

After the client gave the green light, we fine - tuned the design for production. We worked out the exact material thickness, printing colors (making sure the metallic silver looked perfect), and zipper mechanics. We provided the client with detailed specs – from die - cut templates for the hang hole to color codes for consistent printing. This way, when the packaging went into production, it matched our design down to the last detail.
